Private 14 day four person Safari in Tanzania
Bidding begins at $19,000
Tanzania is still a very wild country, with few vehicles and plenty of wildlife. Expansive and beautiful, it lies just south of the equator, its island dotted eastern border is the Indian Ocean. From sea level to the top of 19,340 foot Mt. Kilimanjaro (highest in Africa), Tanzania offers an unusually diverse topography. All parks are natural, without fences or water holes.
Firelight Safaris offer exclusive luxury tented safaris. Hosted by Tanzanian born Tom Lithgow, each safari into Tanzania's pristine National Park is a unique experience. Firelight Safaris tailors its itineraries according to the wishes of each small group of between 4 and 14 guests. Every need is anticipated, every comfort provided. Tenting in Tanzania with Firelight Safaris is a luxurious adventure, spacious tents each with their own screened in verandah, king sized beds, duvets, hot showers, cold drinks (always plenty of ice!), fully stocked bar, Wedgwood china, silverware, civility.
All guides are specially chosen for their experience and knowledge, as well as an ability to make each guest feel at ease. Tom Lithgow, the owner and an experienced bushman himself, is the main tour guide. Having been born in Arusha and brought up in a safari family, he has lived many years in and out of the bush and his knowledge of wildlife and the people is vast. His wife, Belinda, who herself has lived many years in Africa, organizes the smooth running of the whole adventure.
